VNU-AI4SD
The VNU Institute for Applied Artificial Intelligence in Sustainable Development (VNU-AI4SD) was established under Decision No. 2418/QĐ-ĐHQGHN dated May 15, 2025, issued by the President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU).
The Institute is a public, autonomous scientific and technological organization operating under an advanced model, with the mandate to research, apply, and transfer artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to serve sustainable development across key sectors, including:
– Green and digital economy
– Environment and climate change
– Education and digital transformation in higher education
– Public health and healthcare
– Smart urban planning and development
– Resource governance and social welfare

Research and application of AI for geospatial data, focusing on:
Air pollution monitoring, Earth surface monitoring, Ship tracking and maritime monitoring, Natural disaster monitoring and early warning systems
Modeling digital replicas of cities, regions, and infrastructure for simulation, prediction, and real-time decision support in planning and operations.
Smart supply chains powered by AI, IoT, GIS, robotics, and automation technologies to enhance efficiency, visibility, and sustainability.
Enhances data integrity, transparency, and traceability in logistics, environmental monitoring, and smart contracts within geospatial ecosystems.
